We are sadden to announce the passing of Ex-Chief Walter J Laug.

Walter was a member of Verplanck FD for over 50 years and severed as Chief from 1979-1980. He was the pride of "The Point' and was known as "Mayor of Verplanck".

We will deeply miss Ex-Chief Walter Laug and his dedication to the Verplanck Fire Department.

Reposing will be at the O'Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, St. Patrick's Church, Verplanck, NY on Saturday 10:30 AM. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Verplanck, NY to follow.
