A little after 1AM Verplanck FD was requested with the Buchanan Engine Co. to stand by in our quarters for the Montrose FD. Montrose was operating at a smoke in the structure call in their district.

Around 7:20 AM one Engine from Verplanck with one Engine from the Montrose VA was requested to assist the Montrose FD. Montrose FD was operating at an extended Carbon monoxide incident. Engine 128, Utility 29, Car 2491, and Car 2492 responded. Units operated for almost two hours locating the source. Members of the three companies found a small fire smoldering in between the first floor and the basement. The fire was extinguished, the home was ventilated and all units were in service a little after 9AM.

After members were cleared from the scene in Montrose, they headed back to headquarters to regroup and go for our yearly training at the Indian Point Energy Center. Members walked through the facility with the Fire Marshal to familiarize with the layout and the fire suppression systems.
