David dedicated 47 years of service to the Verplanck Fire Protective Association, having joined the department in August 1979. Passing of Commissioner Shawn O'Mara Sr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Commissioner and Past Captain Shawn O’Mara Sr.
Shawn was a dedicated and active member of the Verplanck Fire Protective Association, having joined the department in November of 1989. Throughout his many years of service, he held several leadership roles, most recently serving as Chairman of the Fire District Board and as Past Captain.
